Our memberships

Independent Food Aid Network

Although Brackley Foodbank is entirely independent and run by its volunteers, we are members of the Independent Food Aid Network (IFAN) which is the UK network of independent food aid suppliers.

Through our membership, we are supporters of FAN's regular  lobbying activities and joint signatories to letters to Prime Minister and Chancellor, expressing our concern about the increasing pressure on foodbanks, delays and lack of clarity regarding state support etc....

Almost all foodbanks (99%) have seen a surge in demand since the start of 2023, according to community-giving platform, Neighbourly, and Aldi – which work together to distribute surplus food from the supermarket’s stores. An estimated one in three people who are going to the banks had never needed them before.

Food Aid Alliance West Northants

On a more local level, we are also members of the Food Aid Alliance West Northants (FAAWN).  Through this connection we have been able to access,, and act as Distribution Partners for, the UK Government sponsored Household Support Fund.  This fund has allowed us to pass on over £25,000 worth of grocery vouchers to our clients during the last 3 years.
