Great News for Brackley Foodbank

With effect from June 2023, we are very happy to be adding Tesco Brackley to our list of supporting supermarkets.  All long-life food items donated at Brackley’s Tesco Superstore will be collected by us and distributed to people and families within the NN13 postcode who are suffering food poverty; whether short or longer term.

Store Manager Sharon was keen to ensure that they were supporting local people and Deb (Community Support) helped arrange our meeting.  For some periods,  we will share the donations with Magadalen College School who will be collecting biscuits, crisps, snacks and drinks (individual packaging please) for local school children.

​

As you will know, times are increasingly difficult for many local families, due to rising housing costs, energy and food inflation, and during 2023 we saw a fall off in donations coupled with a 42% increase in need for our support; so all-in-all, this could not have come at a better time.  Thanks to the generousity of Brackley people, we will use up less of our cash (from grants and local donors) on buying in stock to keep our shelves full.
